‘Great conference, full of thought provoking collegial debates and excellent networking’ (delegate comment on Twitter).
‘a great opportunity to learn about new directions in research in a friendly environment where everyone seemed very approachable and helpful’ (delegate email).
The 5th Assessment in Higher Education Conference which took place in June 2015 provided another excellent opportunity for delegates from 25 countries to debate key issues and developments in current assessment research, policy and practice. The conference, of over 200 delegates, reached capacity for the venue a month before the event which indicates the high demand for research and discussion in the field of higher education assessment and the strong reputation of AHEC.
In common with previous conferences, we maintained the dynamic mix of researchers and practitioners which is a key strength of AHEC. The intimate conference space, the deliberately limited numbers and the quality of the papers ensured a highly stimulating and friendly event. Watch this space for news of the 6th Assessment in Higher Education Conference in 2017.
The conference keynote addresses by Dr Maddalena Taras and Professor Jo-Anne Baird is now available on this website. The organisers are enormously grateful to all those who participated: keynote speakers, the masterclass tutors, paper and poster presenters and Maple House venue staff. We look forward to meeting up with you again at the next AHEC.
