About AHE

Welcome & News

Overall, the conference was undoubtedly the best I have been to in many years in terms of quality (both general and of specific speakers), energy, organisation, timing, duration, and supporting materials (e.g. high quality comprehensive programme in hard copy and on line)’ (Delegate comment, July 2019.

Welcome to the Assessment in Higher Education (AHE) website. AHE is an independent network focused on developing research-informed practice in assessment and feedback in higher education and is governed by an international Executive Committee but hosted by the LED Research Centre at the University of Cumbria in England. The AHE network and events bring together academics across the full range of subject disciplines and professional fields who are evaluating, researching and developing theory, research, policy and practice in assessment and feedback.

AHE events are well known for attracting world-leading researchers and academic developers to present their work, but also for having a welcoming atmosphere with committee members working hard to welcome delegates and help you to make useful connections. Please explore our website, including the programmes for previous conferences and do get in touch if you would like advice about the relevance of your work to AHE network members (ahe@cumbria.ac.uk).

The next AHE event will be the International AHE Conference 2023 Manchester, UK
